Maori Word Meanings

Kia Ora,
Welcome back to my blog :)
This week we have been researching some words in Te Reo Maori. We were told to find out the meaning of the Maori words that are on my slideshow.
In this slide, I tried my best finding out the meaning of the words on a Maori Dictionary because google translate is you know.. sometimes a lie. So the words are down below:)

Comment your feed back and if I had anything wrong:)
Stay Safe :)

  2. Hi Zippy,

Well done, you have worked hard on this. I like that you included images to help people visualise these Māori titles. Maybe next time you could include sound in some way so people who can't see can interact with your blog.

    Keep up the great work!

  3. Hi Zippy,
Thanks for sharing this information, I found the explanation of the word whaea very useful as I have heard it used in many different contexts, now I understand why. Next time it would be great if you could include how to pronounce each of the te reo terms you have explained. Well done.

  5. Hi Zippy, a very informative slide show. I like the way you have used Maori Patterns and more tradition Maori colours in your presentation. It would have been goo to have been able to liosten to you pronouncing the words to ensure that I was saying them right.
