Anzac Mascots

Kia Ora,
In Week 8, my class has been learning about Anzac Mascots like animals. We read out an article about the Anzac Mascots and I chose one Animal Mascot from the war.

What I learnt was about the animals that were included in the war. Like Donkeys, Horses, dogs etc.
The donkey and horse were to carry heavy stuff on their back like buckets of water. Dogs were to find wounded soldiers. Just like Caesar.

I have my information about the Anzac mascots down in the slide and about a dog named Caesar.
I have not finished my work which means i'll be adding more just to make it more interesting. All the things you will need to see is down:)

What something that you learnt about Caesar??

Number Unknown | Maths DLO

Kia ora,
for the past few weeks my math group has been learning how to jump into a tidy number on a number line. We learnt it all in math's time and once we understood we made a dlo of how to do it and our strategies. This is what I made please try it out and comment on how well I did!!

This was pretty frustrating and very stressful :)
I hope you understand my way of how I did it <3
Please try out my questions and tell me how you do. Don't peek on the next slide, thanks :)

Anzac writng

Kia Ora, In week 5, Room 6 worked on descriptive writing. So our teacher read out a book named 'the Anzac violin' the book was illustrated by Robyn Belton. The book is about a soldier and his violin. The soldier was a part of the war and he loved playing his violin. One day he had to leave his violin and left a note to take care of his violin. He was sent back home because he was shot. But one day his violin was sent back to him.

So our class had to make a column with describing words about the war in gallipoli. Then we made a paragraph with the words we put in the column. In the columns there were See, Hear, Location, Movement and Temperature.

This is my paragraph that I wrote with my own words.

As I lay on the Sandy ground, the goriest noise hits me. The noise of flesh gushing and bones cracking. These noises won’t ever abandon me. I silently crawl to find safety but I see too many guns and bombs. The wind is so strong, it’s pushing me away. With a Mild temperature, I stay cool. Too much blood was a lot to see as it was staining our clothes. Like the end of the world is near to come.

That is my paragraph. The words I used was Guns, Bombs, Blood stains, Flesh gushing, Bones cracking, Silent crawling, cool and mild. I used some of the words from the dictionary but also I thought of them.

That comes to the end of my writing:)

What did I enjoy: I enjoyed thinking about the descriptive words and also the book.

What I found hard: I also found that the words were hard to think about.

Which part of my diary is about: My diary was about Alexander getting shot or me getting shot in my head
