Japan SLJ Lesson 1

Japan:
Japan is located in the east of Russia, China, and Korea! The Population in Japan is over 100.1 million people! AMAZING!
The main cities in Japan is Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Sendai, and Osaka. In Japan the capital city is Tokyo.

In New Zealand, Money is way more different than Japan. In Japan they name their money Yen.

Japan has only one language in Japan. Japanese.

Most played sports in Japan is Sumo Wrestling, Soccer, Baseball, Judo , Karate, and Kendo!

The Icons in Japan is a Cherry Blossom, Koi Fish, The rec crowned bird, and Lychee fruit.

The Reason why I would like to go to Japan is because, I really want to learn languages especially Japanese and it was my dream to Japan because I really wanted to experience how it is like in a different place with different Language Did you know the Japanese name means The "sun origin"?

Letter To Mr Norman

Dear Mr Norman, Thank you for letting the seniors go to camp. We really enjoyed this year's camp and I hope you enjoyed camp too. I am really looking forward to going to camp again but in a different place. It was so exciting and fun even the activities were fun. I hope that next year we could go camping instead of waiting for two years, But We are really thanked for letting us go to camp. God Bless,

Woodends Camp 2018

On November 5 2018, St Bernadettes went to camp!

The whole  Senior classes went on the 2 night and 3 day camp at Woodend Christian Camp. We went on a bus and drove to Woodend.

As we went, the teachers told us what cabin room we are in. In my cabin, the people who were in were Tali, Fria, Faith, Kylie, Antonette, Nika and Jaime. We got our stuff in the cabin and went out to go to the activities we were doing.

On the Second day of camp, the struggle I had was wall climbing. We walked down to the wall climbing with our leader and sat down to listen to the instructions. Our main host Cody told us about the anchor and the bilayers. First we put on a harness to get us up and down then a helmet just incase for any brain damages or any injuries. We started off with the one we could do then started onto the harder ones. When it was my turn, I started off with number two to see if I could make it. As I went, the struggle came. I stopped half way because I lost my grippings and it was quite hard to climb. Instead of climbing, I helped out and sat awhile. On my second go, I went on number one and climbed to try pass. When I was climbing I gave up and tried to get down but I changed my mind and kept going. When I touched the bar, I looked down with a scared face and asked if my teammates are ready. I went down and took the harness off.

I'm definitely looking forward to go back ( Maybe?) and make new friends and start over and do the activities again!

WALT: To write about the struggles we had at camp

The candy eater

I was walking with my friends to hang out. My Friends were very noisy and crazy. It turned like a disaster until we saw a candy shop. After awhile we went inside. One of my friends well Antonette was screaming to death. Antonette was drooling with her eyes wide open. I wasn’t that surprised at Antonette. A few minutes later we were going but there is one problem. Antonette was rushing to get all the candy. Then she got kinda small. I didn’t really care cause it was her choice. After Antonette eating all the candy she went home to lose some weight. I’m sure she won’t lose weight said Siale. The next morning Antonette stayed up till five, she lost abit of weight but she always eat candy with her other friends. So we hanged out again to see if the candy shop is closed. As we walked there was lots of people complained” Where is the candy?!?!” “WHY??!!?!?”. Everyone was so sad without the candy shop. Antonette felt so sad, so she went home to cry on her unicorn. “Unicorns Why? Why have I done This Unicorn things?”Antonette Stared at candy, Until She made a idea. She made a store with lots of candy. More than One million.
But Guess What? She ate them all but she had more so she had no worries. One Hour Later lots of people went to her shop and it was amazing. Siale was surprised so as me.Isn’t this amazing guys?‘Yes’Thank you for cooperating but you didn’t help so lets own the stores together.
The Children brang lots of money. But it was super cheap no need one hundred bucks.
Suddenly we earned lots of money over a hundred. Over night we went home. It was 24/7 to close.As we went there was a burglar. “Oh uh We forgot to lock the cabinet” Said Antonette. “Oh Mah Gash” I said. "How could you?"
I was scared but we had security cameras to watch what’s happening. Right now lets go to the security room. As we went by, the toilet light was on.
“Who is there?” The burglar Duhhh. We went to the t.v Screen looking at the burglar eating the candy. We Sneakily went to the bench sitting down and went to our store as we went, We got Handcuffs to get the burglar. Oh No the candy yelled Antonette.
We Called the Cops as we tried to catch the burglar. “Snook Snook” Who’s there? Asked the burglar.“YESSS!! We Got the burglar?”*Wee Ooo Wee Oo Wee Oo*The Cops came. Hopefully there is still more candy to sell for the children's THE END.

the red pill

The red PILL
 I started walking to school, Once the bell rang our teacher told us to pick rubbish. OH MY GOODNESS, Dear me I really hate picking up rubbish but literally its what its worth. I guess picking up rubbish is a good thing to do but honestly it is awful. My class started to pick up rubbish and so did I. I couldn’t believe how stinky it was but I had to go with it. Then our teacher called out “COME BACK INSIDE”. I stared at a tree, once again Mrs Lee yelled out “ Come on GUYS!”. I started running and when I was looking at the grass I saw a red creepy, ugly, slimy pill. It reminded me of a slug that was bleeding so bad. Mrs Lee was yelling at me “HURRY YOUR BOTTOMS!” I was running as fast as I could, I ran inside.

After that, that bell rang. Then I ate the pill and fainted, Something awkward was happening. Then it turned pitch black, then a big ugly creature came. It had big eyeballs, fat tummy, Big ugly head, the ugliest face, and thin slimy legs. I couldn’t get up but the slimy ugly creature carried me up. I felt uncomfortable cause my back was so in pain.

 The big creature went and blobbed on me and by blob I mean it made a big poop. (unfinished)

St Bernadette’s

St Bernadette’s is a Catholic School in Hornby. These C.E.R.R. Values are Compassion, Excellence in everything we do, Responsibility and Respect.

 At St Bernadette’s, We have six classes. We aren’t always good but most times we try our best to act like a role model to everyone.

 In Term 2 and Term 3 we have winter sports. For winter sports we have the options to play Netball, Soccer, Hockey and Rippa Rugby. We have 7 teams in the competition and our class plays Netball and Soccer.

 At St Bernadette’s we wear a uniform. Our Uniform is a Pinafore, Long Sleeves, Tights/Long socks and a tie but this is for the girls uniform in winter. For boys uniform they wear a grey long sleeve shirt, Shorts and socks.

We are expected to work hard and live out the Gospel Values. Showing the C.E.R.R Values are an important guidelines, How would you show our C.E.R.R. values?

 The Church is where the students pray and think about what we have done wrong. At the playground we take Responsibility and look after everything.

 St Bernadette’s is a school where we can manage and help the caregivers/parents. We see the face of Christ in everyone.
